Talya Porre
Israel's Youth Delegate 2021–2023
Ms. Talya Porre served as Israel's Youth Delegate to the United Nations from 2021 to 2023, representing young Israelis with distinction. Born in the small community of Givat Ela in northern Israel, Talya recently graduated with a BA in International Relations and East Asia Studies from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and is currently enrolled in an honors MBA program.
Talya's passion for international relations was ignited at age 16 during a summer camp in the United States under the "Partnership 2000" program, where she realized the importance of being informed about Israel's complexities. Her commitment to leadership grew through her participation in the Jewish Agency leadership program for three years. After high school, she completed a pre-military education program, “Minesharim Kalu,” and served as an instructor in the IDF's armored corps. Following her service, Talya worked with the Jewish Agency in the Jewish communities of Detroit and Athens.
Her travels led her to volunteer in an animal shelter in Nepal, which deepened her appreciation for global interconnectedness. At the Hebrew University, Talya engaged in the StandWithUs Fellowship, where she led a fundraising team and was selected as the student speaker at the national conference. She also participated in the ISRAELITY program, focusing on public diplomacy and Jewish identity.
Motivated to enhance Israel's image on the global stage, Talya is particularly passionate about addressing Sustainable Development Goal 2—Zero Hunger. She aims to take action to combat food insecurity exacerbated by the COVID-19 crisis, advocating for innovative solutions to create accessible, sustainable food options. Talya believes that through collective global action, Israel can emerge as a leader in combating climate change and making the world a better place for future generations.
"-- Digital technologies are constantly expanding the limits and models of traditional education systems they also risk deepening the digital divide between students who have the means and the knowledge to benefit form those technologies and those who don't. --"
"-- States should prioritize the digitalization as a key component of modern education system while ensuring that all students have access to technologies adequate to their needs and potential. including girls, children in marginalized communities and children with disabilities. --"

About the Youth Delegate Program
Have you ever dreamed to work in the UN? Are you passionate about the youth of Israel? Has the idea of representing Israel and its youth been a dream for you but seemed so out-of-reach? If you answered yes, then you are in the right place! The Youth Delegate Program, administered by IMUNA and the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in partnership with the Israeli Youth Authority and Mifal Ha'Pais, is a program where one Israeli youth is chosen each year in order to represent the country in the United Nation's headquarters in New York and here in Israel. The program includes young people from all around the globe, who are passionate and eager regarding international relations. The delegates discuss, have meetings, and represent their nation and its youth with the aim of advocating for social justice.

IMUNA aims to help, develop, and empower students and young professionals to step up, and is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders across various sectors. Empowering young individuals and providing them with opportunities to engage on the global stage, participate in the United Nations as well as other international forums, IMUNA strives to continue its mission with you help.
Thank you for your contribution and for being a part of our mission to cultivate a generation of empowered global citizens.
